Alaska Lam
(she/her/hers)
Alaska is a MOTA-trained trauma informed teacher who brings “calm up energy”to immersive classes with a focus on restoring inner clarity & visualizing getting closer to what you want in life.
Alumna of our Trauma Informed MOTA Yoga Teacher Training
Alaska discovered yoga in the mountains of Colorado through an experiential live-in volunteer program. Here, she lived with strangers in intentional community and volunteered for a nonprofit full-time like in MTV’s The Real World, and practiced a variety of yoga and spirituality practices. She discovered meditation through trying out sensory deprivation float tanks. She’s a snowboarder, weightlifter & martial artist who understands the importance of bottling that feeling of relaxed, chill, confident energy that comes from high-octane activities. Alaska is an alumna of our Trauma Informed MOTA Yoga Teacher Training, a facilitator of ski meditation retreats, and a certified life coach. A focus on beginner-friendly, all-levels sequences is important to Alaska. She brings to her classes, her philosophy of speeding up just enough to slow down, thought-provoking meditative prompts, and connecting deeper with yourself. Ask her about meditating in hot tubs.
