Anna came to yoga with extreme skepticism, a negative relationship with movement, and a nonexistent relationship with mindfulness, but through continuing to practice, changed each of these things radically. Anna has dabbled in asana classes ranging from vinyasa to yin to Ashtanga-inspired Rocket, which all inform her movement practice. As a teacher, she likes to sneak strength in to many of her sequences, but places equal value on long holds and practices that create stillness to allow ourselves to turn inwards. Her interest in learning more about yoga beyond asana and her love of the MOTA community brought her to the 250 hour Trauma Informed MOTA Teacher Training.

As a firm believer in the transformative power of yoga beyond the mat, Anna fosters an environment of compassion and self-awareness in her classes, inspiring students to cultivate balance, resilience, and authenticity in their lives. Anna places the utmost importance on the guiding principle that yoga is about how it feels, not how it looks. She hopes to give students agency over their practice and share the joy of yoga.
