Massachusetts General Hospital Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy Presents:
Research indicates that one in three women will experience a pelvic health condition in their lifetime, with incidence increasing with age. Unfortunately, significant disparities in access to pelvic health care persist, especially in communities of color. This gap is one we have witnessed firsthand, and it has inspired us to secure research funding for 25 educational seminars across neighborhoods in Boston. Our goal is to empower communities to seek care, advocate for health resources, and address common but often overlooked health concerns. This research study is being done to understand help seeking behaviors for Urogynecologic and Pelvic issues, identify barriers to seeking care for these conditions, and identify medical education gaps and their influence on help seeking.
