Breathwork: Release and Revitalize by TARA Jones

  • MOTA 11 Bow Street Somerville, MA, 02143 United States (map)

THE PRACTICE

Breathwork is an active form of meditation and somatic healing practice. It uses a three part breath that quickly quiets the worried mind and purges the body and nervous system of emotional debris so we can be more present in our hearts. When you bring consciousness to breathing you can recenter and ground your body fast. It is an experience that feels like returning home and is exactly what we all need right now.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Breathwork will be all done lying down on your yoga mat.  I will spend some time in the beginning talking about the benefits of Breathwork and teaching the breathing pattern.  The active 3-part breathing pattern will be about 25 minutes where I will guide and support you, all set to a soundtrack I personally curate.  The end of the session will be about 5-7 minutes of quiet Savasana to relax and integrate your experience.By the end, you will feel recharged and renewed to start your weekend fresh.

About Tara Jones

My love of the body started at an early age through dance and art, finding the freedom to express myself and have an avenue to release my creativity.  I especially found movement and self expression essential during my teen years, healing from the hardship and grief after my mother passed away.

This pull towards healing naturally led me to Feldenkrais Method and yoga studies in college which continued to deepen my fascination with the mental and emotional connection we have within the body and the somatic healing that can happen when we consciously bring love and attention to ourselves.

My passion for whole-body wellness really solidified once I began my deep studies of meditation and Healing Arts eventually entering the field as a Massage Therapist, Breathwork Guide, and Transformational Coach.

I am honored to work intimately with clients, bringing my 20 plus years of knowledge to connect mind, body, and spirit through breath, movement, mindfulness, and the healing power of presence.
