Embodiment tools for a more connected, pleasurable, self-driven life

Do you ever…

Override your capacity, committing to things you don’t have the time, energy or desire to do? With-hold your true feelings from your partner, friends, family or people you’re dating because you don’t want to be a burden or "dramatic", or you don’t really know how you feel?

Struggle to experience true connection because you’re so in your head? Feel a bit numb, disconnected from your pleasure, creativity and desires?

If you answered yes to any of the above, you could be living a disembodied life. Most of us have been conditioned to over-value our intellect and under-value our sentience, wherein lies our ability to connect with ourselves, each other and the outside world.

Maybe you're drawn to yoga because it helps you access your sensing, feeling self, giving you relief from all of the busyness, overthinking and focus on others. If so, this is your invitation to go even deeper!

In this experiential workshop (through lecture, discussion and practice), we’ll explore the following 4-dimensions of embodiment as a pathway to deeper intimacy with self and others: foundational embodiment, emotional embodiment, sensual embodiment, sexual embodiment

When practiced in the ways you’ll learn in this workshop, including embodied breathing, guided visualizations, and personal reflection, embodiment helps you attune to yourself - your triggers, your intuition, your emotions, your capacity, your boundaries, your needs, your preferences, your pleasure, your desires - so that you can reclaim your selfness and show up more authentically with others.

FAQ:

Who can attend? Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to attend. And this workshop is appropriate for all genders. If you have had physical or sexual trauma, please know that 1:1 guidance will not be available in this setting, so I ask that you take extra good care of yourself, participating only to the extent that you feel safe to do so.

Will there be any partnering exercises? In the beginning of the workshop there will be an optional paired share (you’ll match with a partner and chat for a few minutes on a prompt that I offer - or whatever you’d like to chat about!). After which, all embodiment practices introduced (breath work and visualizations) will be done on one’s own. No one will be obligated to share with the group - I honor your boundaries!

What should I wear/bring? Wear something you can sit comfortably in on a cushion/yoga mat. Chairs will be available for those who want them. Bring a journal and pen to take notes and reflect. And bring anything else you need to take care of yourself, such as: water, your favorite blanket or shawl, hot tea, a snack, etc.
