Workshop Description:
In this workshop, we will explore the ways in which we can invert ourselves. We’ll flip our perspective and explore common inverted asanas (postures) like downward dog, child's pose to build to bigger inversions like handstands and headstands. Inversions are often only associated with handstands but we’ll break that mold and dive deeper into what it means to be upside down.
What should the students expect?
Students should expect to be upside down! We will explore the biomechanics of how to properly sustain inversions with the use of many props to support us. Prepare to take time to journal and reflect on your experiences. Inversions can be intimidating and I hope this workshop will help you find accessible ways to explore new asanas.
Please bring your yoga mat, water & a journal for reflection
