King Dancer (Nataraj), one of the many forms of Shiva, is one of Yoga's most popular deities, however the teaching of his five actions (Pancakrtya), which have great potential in daily life, is not so widespread. In this workshop, you will be introduced to Yoga Mythology, Shiva, and the five actions of Shiva (Pancakrtya). Following a lecture, you will apply these teachings in a yoga practice focusing on King Dancer’s pose (Natarajasana) which is an energizing, backbending pose. All levels are welcome to attend this workshop which includes asana, pranayama, and meditation.
